Upgrade injectors need for mini-me?
I runny an Y7 w/Y8 head. Everything on the bottom end is stock and the head is stock with an ZEX cam. ECU is chipped w/ mugen spec. Is it necessary to have bigger injectors?

mini-mei no turbo - NO as long as they are the 240cc injectors
mini-me with turbo - better upgrade before you blow a hole in it |

Re: Upgrade injectors need for mini-me?
240's are probably good, you may want to get a adj fuel pressure regulator and pound it up a few if your running a tad lean.

Mugen spec Chip tells me you probably got it off ebay, and those chips normally lose power instead of make!

Re: Upgrade injectors need for mini-me?
I have a P28 chipped with a mugen spec. I have a friend that has a Hondata (for GSR) that we tried using it on my car and it turn out to be about the same redline.

Re: Upgrade injectors need for mini-me?
240cc injectors are good for 175 whp, at NA-friendly AFRs, and stock 41 psi rail pressure.
I dislike $$$ FPRs, get a second stock freebie from a friend and crush it a little in a vise until you hit desired pressure. |

crush it???

Yessir!
It's a spring loaded, pressure referrenced diaphragm. If you crush the housing just a little, there is more spring pressure the fuel has to push against before it opens and bypasses fuel down the return line. Just go slow and gentle, and check pressure as you go. |
