type r on boost

Has anybody boosted a stock type r, and if so what type of application did you use. And what were the end results. Any ideas or suggestions on this would be great. I am running 11:1 compression and everyone keeps telling me I am gonna ruin my jdm B18C5 ::)

I've done it before, here's what I recommend:

SEARCH

And search honda-tech for even more info

Tuning will be the key to keeping your motor together. Thats a ton of compression.

Re: type r on boost

Right now I have a 16g that at most i would want to run maybe 9 pounds. Most people tell me I should run around 6. This week I will be installing a AEBS Intake Manifold and next a fuel pump and injectors. Stock EX fuel pump already reaching fuel cuts on high end normally asparated. Now to run 6 pounds is it not true i have to move 12 pounds of fuel pressure for every pound of boost. So if that is the case how many pounds a minute does my fuel pump need to flow and what cfm should the injectors be, or would the stock type r injectors be worthy. I have come to here that the fuel rail is nothing more than appearance. I am also currently running a vafc (professionaly tuned and dynoed) and aem fuel pressure regulator fuel pressure gauge and halmeter (fuel mixture ratio).

well put it this way. the rsx type s is the same compression as that. i have a friend who boosted one with a big 16g on 9psi. its still running and runs great. i dont see a problem. he tuned the ---- out of it though. like dave said, tunning is key

it made over 400 hp on a stock b18c5 motor. i think the only change was that the pistons were coated with something.

This is the only listed specs on the meguiars integra that Whiterice was refering to 11:1 static compression. RC Engineering injectors help supply additional fuel, but that's only half the story. The HKS F-Con ignition/fuel computer is the lynch pin that makes it all work without melting the cast slugs. They are gonna follow up on more engine specs next month

You can also refer to this article as it being a one off setup http://www.hksusa.com/FAQ/?id=1596

And what the hell is static compression
