Default type r advantages?

I have a b16a and want to build it up all motor. I was wondering what the advantage of type r cams and other internals was?

The 11.0.1 compression is nice. I forget which goes where but I think the best setup is the CTR intake and ITR exhaust cam will give you the best results.

You can probably buy aftermarket parts for cheaper (cams and even higher compression pistons, how high depending on how serious you are) and better but they don't have as high of a ricer effect.

Not a bad idea at all, but a "b16" head is cheaper than a "type-r" head. from a financial standpoint, i'd put the itr or ctr valvetrain components in a b16 head. just because im a cheap ***.

the Type-R head is ported and polished.

The reason that type-R cams pull like a mother ****** in a b16 is probably becuase a B16 doesn't pull at all so any little bit helps

I agree with imadouche, all motor Hondas are way too expensive and way too slow. It'll take $4000 to match the power of a turbo that costs $1500

If I went all motor, it wouldnt be about power, it would be about revving the **** out of my engine.

go with type r internals for street but if u gonna drag go wit some aftermarket pistons that are like 12:1 or higher. but with compression that high, hook up your top head with something better that can witstand the abuse of the high comppresion
