im puttung a turbo on my 96 honda civic lx 1.6 non vtec automatic transmission can my trans handle it?

 

install an tranny oil cooler and go light boost. Just don`t attempt to do a regular 200ish horse setup.

it aint no american tranny thats for damn sure

 

About how much boost should i keep it at?

 

check out level10.com they have torque convertors for the auto tranny

 

I think it would be less of a headache in the end if you just did a 5speed swap.

 

so how hard is it to swap it to a 5 speed?Is it a bitch to do?

 

And do u have to have a turbo timer with your kit are not really?

 

i agree . or if you want a spare automatic trans i have one that came out of a 92-95 d15 your more than welcome to it all it is ais a boat anchor in my hands. The 5 speed is not that hard to do you need to ht that ---- and find out what parts you need. i know that cars that came automatic came with a little bit of a more agressive cam also but thats what i heard so if its true thats a plus for you.
