like it says i got a sohc vtec in my back shed been so long i dont know which it is y8ect.
is there a way to tell without having the original block thanks in advance
ps i have search the thread and could find anything so im not just being lazy

and another thing if i build up that vtec head(which ever one it is) like cam valves springs injectors ect. i mean the hole 9 yards and put it on a stock si or hf motor am i just asking for trouble or will it be fine, daily drive fine not down the drag stip a few times fine.

knownign the year of the head will give you the answr to which it is. or if you have the upper t-belt cover the engine info should be on there

i dont know the year and no cover all i got when i pick it up year are two ago was the head minus valve cover, pretty much valves springs ect and head no dizzy either

there should be 2 or 3 circles that have numbers in them. those tell you the month and year the head was built. which should give you a pretty clear indication of wht head it is. or you can test fit a dizzy on there, a z6 one wont line up right on a y8 head and vise versa

alright i found the circles but theres like five before the circles start there is po8-3 in a ovol then 9/3, 6/ ,2/8, /7 and all the / inbetween are at a diffrent angle
