is this true?

i heard that a gsr internals (crank, and pistons) strokes a b16 to a 2.0L is this bullshit or is it true?? and im not to turbo oreinted but i want to turbo an extra d15 motor that i have i have an hf manifold an eclipse turbo and ialready have somebody who can make it mount together so besides the piping and the intercooler and the bov and the oil pickup tube what do i need??

how ould putting a crank from a 1.8 in a 1.6 block with the same bore (right?) make anything bigger thana 1.8?

Re:is this true?

...well, I think he's thinking (keeping in mind I don't know specifics on the rod lengths, just speaking conceptually) that if the stroke (from the journals on the crank) is longer on the b18 than the b16, and the rods are shorter on the b16 than the b18, the overall travel of the piston would be longer, therefore, in turn, raising the displacement of the cylinders higher than the original.

Now, if this is true, I don' tknow.. just explaining what he meant. Maybe a search on Crower for rod information, may turn up the information you're looking for.

actually no. The stroke on the 1.8's are longer than the 1.6. Your theory is right but that doesn't stop the piston from traveling beyond its tdc point and going out of the deck. The block height of the 1.8 is a couple of mm's more than the 1.6's. They do make stroker kits frothen and some have a bored sleeves but just tossing in a GSR bttom end won't change anything and it won;t work anyways.
