If you have the service manual, it's really easy.
I can put the shafts together from memory, but I usually forget one or two of the torque specs. All the bearing play sounds a little excessive. Even brand new bearings have quite a bit of play in them, but not a 1/4 inch. Just make sure to toruq down the final drive gear correctly and check the clearance on the bearings. This is very important if you plan on making power or having the tranny lasting. |

The diameters are different, plus the sliders are put on backwards. The slider limiters are on opposite sides. I'll post a pic on my lunch break. There is also a plate to limit slider travel on the B16/ITR. |

Yep, I'm still learning! Focking BEES! Limits the 3-4 possibilies because of it though. Can't have GSR 3rd with B16 4th and vica versa. I've never opened up the cable B-series trans, so I don't know what is in those. |
