transmission problem..

I have a 98 civic ex, my transmission is all messed up and I am getting a new one.. i was planning on getting a dx tranny because it has taller gears.... which tranny is optimum a turbo d16y8?? any helpful comments aprecciated..

Why would you want taller gears?? Are you going for better gas mileage?

DX = better gas milage
EX = Quicker Acceleration

taller gears are good if your going for project "lift off honda"

in that case let us know how it goes if your not dead
