Hey how can I find out which transmission is compatable with my car? if its cable or hydro? how can I know? I have a 1996 Honda Civic CX EK4 H/B and has a D16Y7 can some one let me know quick cause I found a guy that's selling b-series trannys and he needs to know... please help a.s.a.p.

P.S. My B18B1 is auto, I am converthing to Manual that's why I am asking...

 

you need a hydro tranny.

 

thanks Mike, he has one but he wants $800 CDN for it... I only have $700 on me!... is there any places you might know that can get me the flywheel, clutch kit, tranny, and starter for a good price?... the ecu can be found later...

 

$800. what year? LS or b16 or GSR? take a look in classifieds on here for a hydro b-series trans.

starter, try used, scrape yard (any 94+teg should work) or Napa. Clutch, look in the classifieds here, some guy (named mike to) sells clutch kits for almost anything. People have really liked the product he sells.
any b series flywheel should work, don't forget to get it surfaced.

ECU, u'll need a 96-98 Teg LS ecu (99+ wont work)

no it wont work, it's for a d-series.
