tranny swap

i have a 99 dx with an ex intake manifold and everything for boost but before i put on the kit i was wondering? my friend is selling a ex tranny of his eg coupe. will it work on my motor? my third gear is grinding pretty bad at high rpm and i want to change the tranny. thanks

thanks, does all the clutch for the sohc motor fit as long as its for hydrolic?
