lol, its not a main tranny seal, the seal dave was talking about is in the motor (around the crank)

I just did mine a few months ago. Weird oil spot on the tranny leaking from nowhere in particular. ???

The seal's are about $8 each from Honda. You have to pry it out and it's kind of weird getting them back in since it doesn't seem like they back up to anything. So be careful when you press them back in. And the "sealant" in the middle of the new seal is a weird line of grease so don't touch it. :P

Re:tranny seal??

nice, i was wonderin about how much they were. so just push it in til it's flush with the tranny? did you add any extra greese to get it in?

Re:tranny seal??

They're a little tight, but they should push right in.

Just be wary of pushing them too far or too hard. You can straighten them out once you get it in, but it's hard to describe until you actually try it. It's not like you push until they stop, ya know?

But yeah, flush. ;)

Re:tranny seal??

there is a stop...push it in all the way, it should be just past flush if i remember right. You want to push it in there flush with a big socket or block of wood or something, but be careful since they can get fucked up. This is just from my experience, so take it with a grain of salt

Ehhh. Maybe I'm mistaken, it's been awhile. I just put my new ones in like the old ones were. :-X
