Default Tranny Problem Please Help

Sup Ninjas,

About a month ago as I pulled into my driveway I heard and felt a "bang." Then the shifter still feels like its going in gear but the car won't move anymore. The speedometer revs though. I'm assuming there is something wrong with my transmission. I've rebuilt the engine since then, put a new throwout bearing in, new shift lever because the old one appeared worn. Is this what they call a "dropped transmission"? I really want to drive my car since I just rebuilt the engine. Please help if you have any advice. Thanks.

Hope I don't need to buy another tranny. Those things cost more than my rebuild!

i would make sure both your axles are all the way in first, and if they are it could be somthing in the trans like the diff but check your axles first its easy and free

Thanks for the response. I went to replace the transmission with a newer one purchased for 70 bucks and noticed the driver side axle was popped out. That must have been the problem. I coulda used a new one anyway since it had 401,xxx miles.

o well that kinda suxs man could of use the 70 bucks on something else but o well at least you got it fixed. if it happens again its most likely the snap ring on the axle is bad. but you can buy a new one for cheap from honda fyi.. any other questions just hit me up
