so sometimes when i drive.. jus normal driving. right after i shift 2nd gear, it'll pop out of gear.. its so annoying.. it usually does it 4-5 times when its a bad day.. sometimes, doesn't happen at all.. so my question is.. is it a tranny problem.. or is it the clutch.. help please?

 

You either broke part of or bent a shift fork.

 

SOHC tranny I assume..........

Countershaft clutch sdie bearing has walked out.

 

hm.. whats that? and is it a difficult fix?

 

i should probably add that on cold starts, its a struggle to get into 1st.. i would have to move the shifter left and right before going into 1st.. it jus never wants to slide into 1st smoothly, it sucks on cold starts but even when leaving a stop sign or lights.. wtf?

 

definately not a clutch problem, start looking for a new tranny,almost always cheaper to pick up a used d trans then having 1 taken apart.

 

well i dont know, it might be the clutch. my brother's integra had an issue where it would pop out of gear randomly, not wanting to go into gear sometimes. i thought the tranny was fucked up. and then it gave out. purchased a clutch from you , slapped that sucker on and all the gears were fine, no issues after that.
