An OEM Honda bearing is what is commonly used. They get spun because of incorrect clearences. (too tight). whenever you re-build a motor you should ALWAYS check the clearences. either using those special micrometers or plastigauge. If the bearing was untouched from the factory it could be a result of low oil. Also, the d16y"X" series engines are notorious for bad oil pumps. |
Re:toga pumps and bearings
ok
so use OEM bearings and go with the high volume toga pump? jman |
Re:toga pumps and bearings
i would so some more research on the pump.. like google search it, find people that have used it etc.
but oem bearings should not be a problem as long as the proper clearences are kept. |
Re:toga pumps and bearings
man...what other forums give a response that fast?
NONE!!! ok ill research it more...but they do have a 36/36 warranty on them and good flow rates anyone else in here use them at all? jman |
Re:toga pumps and bearings

Re:toga pumps and bearings

i just talked to them as long as its not a stripped drag car im fine and the pump is only 97 bucks shipped all im saying is if they warranty it all, it must be good ---- jman |
Re:toga pumps and bearings
OBD2 oil pumps are gay, this is what you do, just buy a new one every 30k miles ;)
who knows how good toga pumps even are... :-\ |
Re:toga pumps and bearings
I can take a crap in a box and slap a warrenty on it, but that doesn't mean ----. see who uses that oil pump before you buy yourself one.

Re:toga pumps and bearings
