Default timing probs...

so re-did timing all the marks lined up, but she's 10 degrees off when using a timing light. thats with the dizzy in the middle... adjusting it does nothing.. so obviously the cam timing is off but the marks are all lined up correctly, even had a mechanic double check it cuz he's a buddy... said it looked good... used a crank pulley from chris ( he verified it being from a d16z6) and the cam gear is stock for the z6 head... i dont know someone told me the wrong harmic balancer?? any ideas??

it also runs uber rich ... tried new plugs... nuthing. it makes a boggin sound real bad ill make a vid. im pissed... its boosted so could the turbo be fucked up some how??
i tried resetting the ecu, nothing.. reburnt the chip... etc.. anything else? this was quite sudden of it to act like this..

im at work ill finish it later..

Does the crank pulley have an inner and outer ring that is connected with rubber? I know the B series do, but not sure of all of the Ds.

Edit:

Point being, it it is a 2pc, I've seen these spin, and make the timing marks useless.

well i found out why it sputters and junk i pulled injector plugs and found #2 doesnt change when its pulled. theyre 450s and so could they be clogged or how can i clean them??

also i just followed the manual.. what would happen if i just adjusted the cam by takng the belt off and turning it a tooth or two then re-installing the belt and checking it till its right?? would this be incorrect? im still at work so its hard to be thorough

kiss 16 valves and destroy the head.

What motor and head?

What instructions did you follow?

99% of the idiots don't read correctly when timing D16's.

hahaha.

1 tooth off = 9.xx off
the z6 cam gear does sit different. I say your timing is NOT correct.
