I'm looking to buy an h23a1, just rebuild, new rods, weisco pistons and rings, port polished head, 5 angel valve job, but anyway, the numbers are 165PSI in all four cylinders. there is about 7,000 miles since rebuild. he swapping out for the h22. paying $800 for the motor thanks ray

its probably got low comp pistons, so the actual nuumber 165 isn't what you are looking for. What you are looking for are equal numbers across the board. Did u test the compression? cuz 165 in all 4 is good! (more or less perfect!)

usually there are small variences.

165, 169, 163, 167. usually its like that
so 165, 165, 165, 165 is perfrect!

no I didn't do the tests, but I seen pics of the test on each of the cylinders, and they all where 165, not sure what compression the pistons are. thanks crx88si
