Re: thermostat problem?

if its a coolant problem then check all coolant related items, water pump, hoses, radiator ....yada yada yada. :8 it sounds like the muffler bearing to me it has probobly stuck in your radiator hose.

Re: thermostat problem?

answering the questions alright i ran a loop from the intake coolant to the turbo coolant and back to the intake thats all i did with the hoses...i changed the thermostat and put it all back together its still running hot.. the top radiator hose has twice as much pressure as the bottom its still acting like its leaking from somewhere and the reservor is full it seems like there is no pressure for the bottom hose to push the coolant through the thermostat

Re: thermostat problem?

ok, umm fan turning on? is the top hose really that much stiffer than the bottom? seems wierd... any other problems or symptoms? i know that every once in a great while the ratiator fill cap doesnt displace i belive its the 13 lbs of pressure, and the coolant starts to boil off, you might have some kind of wierd ---- like that, "natual stratification of liquids" got another radiator cap to try? its a far shot, but so are your symptoms especially if that top hose is that much stiffer than the bottom. other than that buddy seems like you have a blockage somewhere, i cant imagine that happening.. you might have a blockage somewhere at the turbo, that would be the only other place that would make sense, because after you ran those lines, you are getting high pressure at the top hose, hit us back with more info

Umm yea no big deal, could just be a bad valve cover gasket... if those center gromets are leaking it will leak down the tubes to the spark plugs and fowl the plugs up. that would make it run shitty, and as far as the CEL, is ecu throwing any codes?
