Is there a specific way to bleed brakes with ABS?

Me and a friend had just finished putting new brake lines/pads and rotors into his 92 MR2 turbo. We did everything and bleed each wheel. But end up with the front passanger side dragging. The pedal would be soft once a while then stiffen up then goes soft again.

We are planning to re-bleed the whole system tomol but i am wondering if the problem has anything to do with the ABS system. And if there`s a certain way to bleed a car that has ABS. thanks

Untrue. On some models you do need to bleed the system when you do certain types of brake work. On some Honda you need to and others you don't. Look for a manual on the MR2 or someone who has dealt with it before. :y

I talked to my one honda technician friend and on the tegs that have an ABS resevoir, there is a bleeder valve that must be bled when it gets air. Thing is its super high pressure and if you let it open too fast it explodes everywhere (from his experience he told me this), so you pretty much have to know what you're doing w/this abs ---- b/c you could have a paint-eating brake fluid mess on your hands if you ---- something up. I know for my car the system should have been bled like a year ago but it holds pressure alright, doesnt throw codes and the ABS still works with a little air in it.

Lesson learned is don't mess w/your MR2 ----, until you know what you're doing with the ABS.

problem is this is not the first mr2 we worked on.... we did a few and bleed it like a regualr car and they all worked fine.

he`s going to try another caliper. the piston pushes out fine but wouldn`t retract
