i just bought a jdm b16a1 odb0 for my crx si i just have a few questions:

can i fit a gsr 6-speed in and if so where can i find a decent priced gsr tranny?

which wiring harness and ecu should i use?

 

I didnt know there was a 6speed GSR tranny... I must have been out of the loop for a while. Last I heard GSR or any B-series tranny 5-speed with a reverse...

Pretty much any B-series engine will mate up to any B-series engine... in terms of price, keep an eye for them in classifieds, eBay, and also from a couple well-known websites (dont know them off hand)

 

yeah any b series tranny will work but if i were u id get the 92-93 gsr or a b16 tranny dont get an ls tranny. gears would be too long for a b16. i believe the ys1 is the gsr and s1 and j1 are the b16. im not so sure about those but im pretty sure the gsr is a YS1 tranny hope that helps use your crx harness. every thing should plug up all u need to do is wire vtec and vtec oil pressure and the ground. and i believe those have a knock sensor. run a pw0 or pr3.

 

sorry the 6 speed gsr trannies only came on the 3 black civics in fast and furious along with the 8 speed eclipse tranny from F&F 2. better luck nect time thoe guy

 

thats bullshit, because i test drove a gsr 6 speed that i was painting at my shop so i know for a fact they're out there. i just cant find one thats for sale, maybe ill just go to the dealership and buy the gear box instead.

 

I have never herd anything about a 6 speed gsr, unless somone made it that way on purpose witch whould cost alot of money. But let me know if ya find one man lol

 

Quaife makes a 6 speed dog box for a GSR. Its around $16,000 for just the tranny.

The only 6-speed you drove comes in Acura form (RSX, TL, CL)

 

i remember it was in a white 96ish gsr that was completely stock, it got rear ended thats why it was in the shop. the image of the shiftknob got imprinted in my mind.

 

then you had too many drugs in your system or you were drunk. there has NEVER been a stock 6 speed B series tranny. The RSX is a 6 speed but that is it. no B series 6 speed tranny ever, unless you take your reverse out and put another gear in there. but, again, no STOCK integra had a 6 speed tranny, never assume the car is stock when its a honda.
