hi people new to this forum but not to the website
anyways i have a d16a1(dohc no vtec) going into a 92-95 civic only problem is the top driver's side mount(in the cam cover) does not fit and will not work. i am trying to find a mount or something that will work but it seems hopeless. untill i saw the zc build up on this website and notice that the mount on that motor was different than mine
so i was hoping that someone out there can help or if u have any information at all email me at cholauj01@yahoo.com

the engine is out of a 88-89 integra not a 92-95 civic
its a d16a1 dohc non vtec like u said but the driver side engine mount is like 3/4" off.. you canmakeit fit by cutting off your body mount anf re welding it.. but it had to be perfict to make it fit.. if its not dead nuts on its gonna twist your axles and break the cv joints.. formore info on this.. that all im aware of im shure other people will post replys..

actually the mount is more than 3/4 off it's almost 6in. off because the mount is on the front of the head not inside the timing cover and i was looking at more of like a custom mounting bracket of some sort any ideas

Go with a black cover zc. Same motor w/ better cams and correct mounting points. Also very cheap 400-600 dollars

 

And the obd1 black cover zc

 

---- a zc get sohc vtec. or a 25 dollar dx block and a 100 dollar vtec head.... very cheap and faster than a zc

 

How Is a ZC slower than a SOHC Vtec?

 

well ive had all three. d16y8>>zc dohc>>mini-me. thats in n/a form though. sohc vtec under boost owns
