suspension question

Right now i have koni yellows with nuespeed springs on my 1988 civic sedan.

i have the front shocks set at the middle height (there are 5 height settings).

i was thinking about making a set of extended tophats for the front of my car, and setting the spring height at the highest level

will there be any benefit to doing this? because i like my ride height right now, but im bored and have ---- lying around and just got my own tig welder finally,

so yeah any benefit to this mod?

i'm not sure but unless those shocks are bottoming out, then i don't see what the advantage is

Re: suspension question

You want the fronts at 1 click from full soft and the rears at full hard. It will kill understeer. Also get a smaller (HF) front bar , or remove it all together.

Removing it without a set of good rack bushings will make the steering feel vague at center.

If you are not looking to lower the car further then it already is , there is no point in making top hats. With Koni's you should be well within the shocks useable range. Unless you are bottoming out the shock now , there is no point, it won't make the car ride better.

My Koni's reds with coilovers at the lowest point have plenty of travel.

get a bigger rear bar if you can as well (22mm)
