Stupid Question but...
Do I realy need to remove the internal coil on the dizzy to use the MSD kit with external coil? A friend of mine said that the dizzy he sold me was already set to run an MSD even with the internal coil. But from what I've been reading on the forums and reading in the mags, it says to remove the internal coil. Is this why my car wouldn't start even when it's turning over? Who's right and who's wrong here? Please help.
By the way, don't flame. I'm just a noob, trying to get help... |

Re:Stupid Question but...
Actually, before I tried starting it, I set everything up fine, like the TDC bullshit, made sure all the wiring has been connected and that other stuff.

Re:Stupid Question but...
lol, how did you set the timing without starting the motor? ???

Re:Stupid Question but...
Im assuming he adjusted the cam gears to top when the crank pulley was at tdc....
|
Re:Stupid Question but...
That would work for cam timing, but not ignition timing. ;)

not like it makes a world of a difference anyways |
Re:Stupid Question but...
just put it all the way advanced and if you hear a sound like water coming out of a kinked hose that's your power.
