btw what gaskets are needed to replace
i bought a water and oil pump, those came with gaskets.. so all i should need is a HG, intake, exhaust, oil pickup and ?

Re: stripped bolts during tear down, ----
oil pickup doesn't have a gasket. there isnt much danger in the oil leaking into the oil.
the stripped nut is no biggie, spin the stud out and replace it. the dizzy bolt...if its the top one you can replace the cam cap. otherwise run 2 dizzy bolts no big deal.

well, the oil pickup has an oring that should be replaced. if it goes bad the pump will suck air instead of oil. also, the cam gear, as long as its going back on the same style head cam etc. it wont need lined up. set the timing marks if there is not belt on it, and put the gear on aligning it w/ the key *only 1 way it can go on*.
