Default strengthing a clutch cable

Okay my clutch cable keeps breaking, at the end stopper just after the shift fork. After using up all my spares I ordered a new one figuring that its due to them being 20 years old. Bit in case its due to the stage 4 clutch I want to somehow reinfore it before installation. Any ideas?
