Stiriped my O2 sensor
so after getting a code 46 for whole 6 months.
now my o2 sensor finally goes out (no signal at all)
last night i was going to take it out with a O2 sensor socket but striped the whole thing and now there`s no mother ------- way that i can remove it...
any idea?
or does anyone has a D16 OEM 4-2-1 exhaust manifold (just the top piece, with a REMOVEABLE O2 sensor )

Re:Stiriped my O2 sensor
you just stripped the nut right? what i usually do is get some vicegrips.... and a mallot... tighten the vicegrips on the sensor... douse it with wd40... and start whacking awaywith the mallot.... eventually it will break loose... or you will hit yorself... real good...
Have fun...

Re:Stiriped my O2 sensor
i tried it both hot and cold and still don`t work.
i was using a 3 feet breaker bar, pushed it as much as i can, but after a while the dam o2 socket start to flex and stripped it...
will tried it one more time today with a freaking hammer.

Re:Stiriped my O2 sensor
my bro had the same problem, excpet with the drain plug...what we did was spray some penetraiting lube on it...let it sit for a while and use some "vice grips" and it eventually came free...the bolt was over-tightened and stripped

Re:Stiriped my O2 sensor
Last effort on one I had was breaking the top off, drilling a hole in the middle and increasing the drill bit in size. Once the walls were thin, used a chisle and hammer and it collapsed. It was a bitch, but it worked and the threads on the mani were still good. That would be the last option.

Re:Stiriped my O2 sensor
don't u guys mean you rounded the o2 sensor nut.. stripping is reserved for threads.
Doesn't anyone just use a torch and heat up the area then turn it? Yeah I know sometimes you're still fucked, then you have to break out the fabrication tools.
