is this still useable? pic is finaly up, lol

i just dropped one of my new pistons today :1

it fell and has a slight scuff on it now and i wanna know if its still useable.. i have a pic that i'll post up tomorrow.. its not on the side or the top, but on that beveled edge where the top and side meet

would this still be useable or do i need a new piston? please say useable (and actualy mean it) :l

probably fine, if it's not a huge thing the rings should still seal it up. just make sure you file it down so there's no sharp edges. post some pics up

I agree sand it down, get rid of the rough edge and make sure you didn't distort the groove where the top piston ring rides.

awsome, i was freakin out all day about it, its easily far enough away away from where the top ring sits.. my sister stole my camera while i was asleep so i gotta wait till she gets back to post the pic

same thing happened to me, I dented the edge of the piston, but I may just buy one piston to replace it.

Id personally debur the dent and run it. Slide it down the bore for a test fit and eyeball it to see if you got it good.

Either you ------ with some lawmmower pistons or you are one big ass dude, cause your hand make that piston look mighty small.

Love the bbbbaaaabbbbiies, I wish my two year old would go back to being that small.

Man that piston is fine. hit it with some 320 grit sandpaper to smooth the edge and mount it up.
