Default Still havin CAT problems

Well my engine check light went off somehow from the cat o2 sensor, so I was like cool. and today it came on again. What the ----?!?! This will be the 3rd cat i have put on in a little over a year. Couple of questions:

1. Since I'm still NA (was gonna buy an ssl2k kit, but i dunno now ) if I punch out the cat and put an o2 sim on there, will my car run ok? or be a bigger turd then it is? Because I will prolly lose back pressure? Also is there an o2 sim I can get for it?

2. What am I doing wrong that I keep cloggin up catalytic converters? I have a dc header, 2.5 cat back exhaust, and your basic bolt ons. When I put the existing cat on, i disengaged my n2o thinkin that was the problem from before. But apparently it wasnt.

cut that bitch out, you dont need a cat, and why would you replace one thats a shitton of extra money. it sounds like a bad sensor in your case... 3 in a year .. that bites did you check the o2 sensors too?

i dunno what your problem is but i have 96 cx which has the cat on the manifold and just replaced it header which now i dont have cat and i just let my second o2 hang in the engine bay. my CEL doesnt come on for 1000-3000 miles and when it does i just reset my ecu and wait for it to come on again.

it probably is the sensor this time. LAst time the cat tho was completley clogged where it blew out the gasket between the header and cat and my car just died. I probably will punch out the cat, i was just wondering if it would do more harm than good in my NA ****.

If you punch out the cat it will be a lot louder. Paul replace the O2 sensor that is bad. Its probably not the cat again.
