Still Cant Start! D16z6
 

I have a D16z6. I am having trouble starting the car. I thought it might be the fuel filter. I changed that and also no start. So I later decide to replaced the cap, rotor, ignition coil, spark plugs, and main relay. I dont want to keep replacing things that doesnt need replacing. The fuel pump primes when i turn the key. So what could be the next thing i can check? ICM? It doesnt sputter at all.

it was running fine the other day. It was idling fine and before you know it, it started choking and just completely died off. I thought it was the fuel filter so i changed that. it still wouldnt start, so i replaced the ign coil, and spark plugs and that still doesnt doesnt work.

Check the ECU. I has a smiller problem it got fuel and spark but it wouldnt start. it took me like a week to figure out the ecu was fried. Also i would look in to the fuel pump a lil more. Just cause its priming doesnt mean its sending enuff fuel to start the car..........What does it do when you try to start it?

on my dx, i had a similar problem come to find out the injector wires were loose. id check that, too

theres gas, injectors wires isnt loose, double check all wires to make sure it is hooked up. Have to check on the ECU and fuel pump. God damn it. >:( dont you just love Hondas ;)

All you gotta do is smell the Ecu............. I could smell mine from the drivers seat kinda smells like a blow speaker. If the z6 is in a 92-95 civic the ECU is pron to getting wet for some reason of another

i really doubt it was the ECU because it was running fine and it just started choking like it wasnt getting enough gas or spark and then it just died on me. Check to see if there was gas and the meter says half full. Tried to start it up again and it wouldnt start correctly. It would sputter for 3 seconds and just completely dies or when i floor the gas pedal.
