>>stg 2 regrinds<<
hey i have stage 2 regrinds that someone gave me they bought them off of ebay they arnt a name brad some guy was making them and reselling them....when i looked at them they didnt look and differnt from my stock ones...so i messaged the guy and asked if they really work and why my stock lobes are the same as his regrinds....he told me its the change of the pitch of the cam and ---- like that he said i should get real good power from3500-7500 rpm....i was wondering if anyone bought them and tried them also and if you think its a scam...and aslo i am turboing a zc i was wondering if the cams will hurt me more than help me or if they will actually help....thanks
im seeing red flags...first off, i hate it when companies rank products in stages. if you dont know what is/needs to be done to get whatever to that "stage", then you shouldnt buy it.....second, they arent name brands
.......third, someone "gave" these to you that they bought off of ebay.
its not a scam if its given to you. its also not a scam if somebody sells you cams that were regrinds and said they bought them from a nonamed ebay dealer. please tell me you didnt pay for these. how are you even sure there for a zc. something tells me that you just bought a pair of really big lincoln logs.

no my friend had the same motor as me well almost same motor he had the teg motor he bought a ---- load of parts for it he wanted to build but then he was a lazy bastard and just went out and bought a cobalt instead....very sad decision well any way he didnt have acess to a computer and he wanted me to sell his ---- back on to ebay again well i sold all of his stuff and he made the money back and all he had left to sell were the cams he said well you made my money back already so you can do whatever i want with the cams i could sell them and keep the money or i can keep them and put them in ...thats why i was asking if i should keep them or sell them......the lobes arnt any bigger but the shape and pith are a bit differnt....
Do you know what regrinds are?
When you "regrind" a cam, you dont always grind on the actual lobe. What you do change is the base circle of the cam, so that AFTER the valves are properly adjusted, the actual lift of the cam is increased, as well as the ramp. Its cheating...but it does work. Some engines dont take too well to regrinds, and will wear valvetrain parts quicker, mainly because of the steeper ramp.(read: anything with flat lifters...etc.)
What you need to compare on your stock cam and your regrind is the base circle. If its smaller on the cam given to you...then its a regrind. Doesnt mean its any good though.
But Delta is making regrinds that I hear good things about...
