Spilling coolant, help!

About a year ago, i replaced my radiator in my 95 civic with an aluminum one that is a little bit bigger than the stock one. I just recntly turboed my car about 3 months ago and now it has turned summer. When i drive the car for awhile and under the hood really heats up and i smell alittle bit of coolant coming from the radiator cap area. Almost like it gets so hot and a little comes out. The temp gauge is fine, and i can't find any leaks. Any ideas? :-\

sometimes if your coolant system gets pressurized because of your head lifting under boost it'll push coolant out through the cap or the over flow...or you might just have a bad radiator cap..i'd try a new cap first

What is some other signs of head lift? This scares me a bit.

sounds like you're pressurizing the coolant jacket.

new headgasket and arp studs time.

Pressurizing the coolant jacket? What will happen to the engine?

nothing if you change the headgasket.

well..pressurizing your coolant system will over heat it...meaning you could over heat your car..easy fix..head gasket and arps or if your cheap..retourqe your head studs..i beleive someone told me the ghetto rule is about 4 foot pounds for every 8psi??? something like that..just spend the dough and buy new ----
