ignition parts heating up? explain like whats the fix for this

 

dont use used parts to fix a problem caused by used parts

 

UPDATE:

put in some bcpr11's (ngk plugs) gapped to about 30ish..started up..ran fine...drove home. woke up this morning for class car wouldnt stat..started for like 2 min but bogged the whole time then shut off. i tried to crank it again but it didnt turn over. pulled the plugs and they are covered in fuel and smell like fuel. im tuned and have been for awhile and never had a problem before. i ordered some ngk 7's to see if that will olve the issue because last time my spark plugs took a ---- i just changed to the 7's and it worked fine but noone in this town has them now so i had to order them. any help is appreciated...anyoen else have a problemlike this?

 

Are you sure your ECU throws no code? What are you using: chip or ostrish? If its ostrish, maybe the batteries are dead?

 

im gonna check for codes when i get back to my car...im just running a chipped ecu on crome

 

No oil on your plugs? Just fuel?

Definately run an obd scan.

Chances are good that your problem is something really simple. Stuff like that usually is caused by the dumbest ---- you'd never think of.

I had a issue like this would work good some days, run like ---- and not start others.. replaced the distributor and was all good.. You probly arnt getting good spark... Lookin to it

 

 

i had a bad ignitor and/or coil on my toyota about 3 years ago that did the same thing

 

my first crx had a weak ignitor and condesation in the dis. cap and it would kinda act like that it would never fully shut off but it would idle at about 500 rpms and just sputter like a mother ******
