1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 works as does 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 depending on what cam you are using.

so does 1-2-3-4-5-6

but 1-3-4-2 might be of use.

1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 302cid "newer" ford v8 "HO" 302c/351/400 ext... 69 +

having the 7 and & 8 cylinder fire one after the other put pressure on crank/bearings

roller cam/hydro solid lifter
