hey thats pretty tight dawg...thanks to your pics i now definitly know that my block is a 1.6l. Your block say's "d15b" mine say's "zc" both sohc vtec tiiight!, I wonder how many other peeps has the same engine, I gues its one of kind, thanks fo da pics, peace out.

I have had both in my civic. had the zc like 5 years ago. I have the d15b in my crx now. I think 130 rating for the zc is low. It ran faster then my dohc zc with the same parts and in the same car.

Hey chris so..you had the zc sohc 1.6l vtec before or the dohc zc 1.6? hey did you find that info for the importer for the d series lsd tranny also is that tranny hydro or cable? peace out bro.

aren't these D15b's in the VTi "3-stage VTEC" ?
I was looking thru some JDM honda brochures, and we noticed the "3-stage VTEC" motors in the 96-99 Civic VTi...

Kinda cool, imagine 3 stages!

Hmm with the 3 stage I think it's best to run it with the ecu it's supposed to go with since there are two solenoids on it.

I have yet to see any 96-99 vti motors in the states. The only ones i have seen are obd-1 92-95. Also for everyone who wanted to know the vti lsd tranny is hydro. Sorry crx and 4th gen civic lovers.

We also have the rare LSD ZC tranny for us 4g civic/crx guys..

well, i was trying to find out some info on which i believe is the 1st gen sohc zc. ..so i did some furstrating looking around online and if the sohc zc is vtec, then the engagement should be at 5,500 RPM. I have one so ima try it out soon. ..Been having some ghost electronic problems. Probly the old ignition switch.
