SOHC ZC tranny... What clutch????

Re: SOHC ZC tranny... What clutch????
Maybe it's an 88-89 tranny. Count the splines on the input shaft. If it has 21 splines you need a clutch for an 88. If it has 20 and the shaft is smaller than the clutch that was on your car it's an 89 tranny and you need an 89 clutch.

Re: SOHC ZC tranny... What clutch????
i hate these early tranny's.
88 = 21 spline w/ smaller clutch disc.
89 = 20 spline w/ smaller clutch disc.
90+ = 20 spline with larger clutch disc.
flywheel surface matches clutch disc dia.
im not sure what year, but early preludes have the same spline count as 88's but a clutch disc the size of a 90+
so if u get an 88 tranny but are trying to mount it to a 90+ flywheel that clutch will work.
