The details are at the above site. But reply here if you don't have a honda-tech ID.

Just thought I'd call everyone I could to this problem. Its about the only think on my honda I haven't been able to pin down.

Check TPS voltage @ WOT

Can't be valve clearence. The Z6 dished pistons are WAY further down that a A6 piston would be.

Changed plugs and wires. Going to try to swap dizzys tomorrow after I clean my mess up from doing the IC piping. The "code inspector" was nice enough to "warn" me before writing me up "again".

And here is the copy from the H-T post so Brax can read it at work, hehe.
Well, My car is a total mutt. And its had this problem for a long time, but I've just delt with it.
Most of the time it won't rev past 6000rpms. Sometimes its 5700ish, sometimes its 6300ish.
I've been blaming it on tuning this whole time, but I've leaned it out on the AFC and richened it up and it doesn't make any difference...

My plugs are gapped at .32, I've tried two different sets of plug wires. My dizzy timing is just barely below stock.
The ECU is a "run of the mill" '91 PM6 ( no chips ).

Of course I wait till its warmed up to hammer on it. And the car manigaed a 14.6@96mph with a 2.3 60'FT. short shifting like this at 10psi. The AFC monitors the tach so I know is accurate.

Think Maybe the timing belt might be off a tooth ? The car pulls harder then Jenna Jamison from 2300rpms to about 5600, then craps out...

Just looking for some suggestions. The plugs are almost always black when I check them, but I also let the car idle for a while before shutting it down.

Stealth TT fuel pump
DSM injectors 450cc
Stock FPR

Even with the boost around 5psi it will cut-out, like its missing, not like hitting the limiter.

You can adjust your valve clearance...it doesn't have to hit the piston to be out of spec....get a shop manual and check your valve clearance.....

we had same problem with bens car, it was the timing the whole time...then before we got it running good we boosted about 14 psi with just fmu, engine didnt last to long. :-[

AFC advances timing... your timing is probably more advanced right now.

My other friend Bobbie tried boosting 15psi on his greddy kit and sidemount IC using the FMU, needless to say not enough Z6 pistons 8.4/1 compression could save him, hehe. Smached the ring lands pretty hard.

How'd you correct the timing ? belt or dizzy ?

Re:Sohc turbo won't rev

we corrected it with the timing belt kept moving it over a tooth, and hit it with the timing light..
