Smoke when downshifting

Smoke when downshifting
It's a problem I had recently thought was my valve seals. I replaced the valve seals and it's still smoking. It's definately oil (bluish color and smells of oil), but when I downshift and let the RPM's slow the car (engine braking), as soon as I hit the gas again a big puff of blue smoke exits the exhaust. Is it possible for the valve guides to be leaking even though the seals are not? Could there be any other problems causing this? My compression test checked out excellent so I know at least the compression rings are good. Not sure if maybe the oil rings are gone

Re: Smoke when downshifting
not coming from valves, and if it was oil rings i would think it would do it more often, sooooo maybe you could put some red dye in your oil and tell people its just spitting FLAMES OF POWER.... i dont know. realy tho good luck tracking it down
