Default smoke burnin problem yo.

engine burnin smoke at WOT, or almost WOT. compression is fine. 165 165 165 160. but when i out oil in it its 210 lol. should it be 210 is it was sealing correctly?

another, if its not the rings.... maybe cause this head came from japan. its been sitting for a while and the valve seals are dried up or somethin? then some engine restorer would clear that up?

Johnny

whats the redline on the B20 head? you can redline a 7k and if the reline on the B20 is like 6k it might be a reason?

well the head is pretty much the same, same valvetrain.

only other thing i can think of is i have one little water hose blocked off, maybe the head is getting too hot... and causing oil to leak through... its ------- getting really bad now too. even at part throttle. whent he rpms get to about 4k it starts throwin a little smoke. leaves a cloud at WOT.

well something i found... the pvc line was krink'd. and the rings in this motor are 220k miles. so maybe they wouldn't seal without the pvc... it seems to be better just reving in neutral. but we'll see. i hope this makes a diff. btw talking about integra engine. but i'm getting ready to take apart the 400. just going to look at the bearings i think. probably not even take the heads off...

i think if you put oil in and theres a significant compression change then its the ring lands
