Re: Slicks

NA/low boost, under 200 whp = 20x8x14 on 14x7 rims
higher boost, 200+ whp = 22x8x13 on 13x7.5 Lensos

Re: Slicks

at what power level should you start thinking about overall tire diameter and gearing in relation to trap speed?? i.e. not having to shift into fifth gear just before the line

Re: Slicks

depends on your tranny gearing and peak hp rpm

I have had good luck with M&H, but they go from a 13 to a 15. no 14's is slicks

they have dot's in 14's.

13's arent clearing your rotors or what?

Re: Slicks

if you just plan on usin somethin for the track, then you want a slick, if you want something for the street, then you need a DOT approved tire. Look for something with a decent sidewall, slicks with short sidewalls, do not have a big footprint, try to find a slick with the highest sidewall ratio you can fit under your fenders, that will give you the footprint needed for good traction.
