Sleeves *updated with pics*

Ok, so what I thought was a blown headgasket turned out to be a cracked sleeve (Pictures soon). Pistons are still good thank God. Anyways, where is the cheapest place to buy sleeves? I already tried LSD and TT and didn't see anything. So what brands match Darton quality but at Jewish kid prices? Where do I get them? Machine shop quoted me $750 for machining. There goes my roll cage D:

Also, whats a cheap place to get ARP rod bolts, ACL or Clevite rod bearings, main bearings, piston rings, and main cap bolts? I know with you bargain shoppers you probably know a few places offhand. Craig or Mike can you do anything for me here?

LS with 81.5mm 9:1 Wiseco GSR pistons, Eagle Rods, GSR polished crank. Its a drag car though. So sleeves were on the "wishlist" anyways, I just wanted to try and get as much out of stock sleeves first. So, a new block wouldn't really do me any good.

Also, where is a place to buy sleeves? I tried google and honda-tech and can't find the sleeves themselves only companys who will sleeve a block.

Re: Sleeves

you can buy Darton sleeves by themselves... you can also buy ABES T-brace sleeves (they are made by Darton)....

why you just want to buy just the sleeves? i would just have it done by the pros... i would hit up Laskey Racing (Benson Machine) or Camp1320 (Golden Eagle)... :y

Re: Sleeves

To do sleeves correctly isnt what a normal run of the mill machine shop can do

if they have a cnc machine set up for just sleeving blocks then yes if not the list I gave is one you should go with

Re: Sleeves

I found a set of Dartons on H-T for $495. I'd rather have the machine shop here do them. They are a Darton dealer and do sleeving all the time. Never heard any complaints. Not to mention I'm friends with the guy doing them. Another factor is that I'm trying to get this car on the road before I deploy in May. I don't have time to wait. They traded my block for a block that was already milled out and the sleeves should get there by tuesday. Everything assembled by thursday or friday. Besides after shipping the price comes out pretty much the same.
