i got a z6 block with a y8 head. i wanted to run it boosted but a a6 is looming in my future and i was thinking i would raise the compression with some pistons, put a different cam in. I have everything i need to make itb's so ill prolly run them to. Right now the compression is at 9.45 to 1. with Pm6 pistons it rises to 10.853507007093721 to 1.
Will the pm6 pistons kiss valves? And any advice on what cam i can run with stock valvetrain? And can rods handle this day in and day out.

should be just fine. i wouldnt expect any problems. you can usually run mild cams on stock valve train, but once you get real agressive then you have to upgrade and also have some headwork done and things to flow the air that the cam will allow

Uhm, are you going to be boosted, or not?

NA D16 is not very rewarding unless you drop some jack.

Yeah im boosting but it looks like not this motor. Its gonna be in my scoot around town car so im not expecting much. anyone had experience with a good mild d16y8 cam?
