Re: si cams
indeed, the DX's have the same heads as the SI's just differnt cams.
Be sure to get the 89-91 d16a6 camshaft, the 88's are a bit weaker. What is needed for the install? just some basic hand tools, quickie instructions put engine to TDC pull valve cover pull off 12mm cam gear (zip tie belt to cam gear) push off to side take off the shitload of 12mm bolts that hold down the rocker assembly pop the rocker assembly off Take the dizzy off and your camshaft is ready to be installed. Re-install, you more will than likly need to adjust the valves afterwards, cant remember the exact specs.. .20/.25? bah, I'll look tonite, You probably wont notice that big of a diff, your better of getting the SI camshaft reground by someone, (crower/delta) 50-100 bucks, then doing a DPFI-MPFI swap, the thing will probably have more power than a stock A6 with the chunky cam. ;)cool thanks for the info, i fgured it would give me some good gains, but i dont know if shell go for a DPFI-MPFI swap, mmm maybe i can convince her for a whole d16a6 swap and tell her it would be easier. her crx is an auto and i hate driving that thing compare to my hatch.mmmm maybe if i make her understand how a turbo works ...........
