Should i send it to the cursher?

ok, I got a cel last nite so i checked it today. It give's me 6 shortflashes follewed by a short pause. Then it give's me 9 short flash's.
I know 6 is coolant temp and 9 is #1 cyl position. But my quisten is and i reading this right and what would cause these two code's at the same time?
The car was running perfect i stoped at the car wash to rince it off i left it running and it dies. when i get back in it i start it up and it was missing real bad i reved a lil to about 3500 it cleared up. As soon as it dropped back down to around 1000 it starts missing agian. Keep in mind it only does it at 1000rpm's or lower. Any one have a clue what the cause of this would be. I just have never had two code's at the same time like this.
thanks

And now it won't even start itll try and fire for just a sec and sputter and die

6 is the 2p coolant temp sensor on the side of the head an inch or three from the distributor.

9 is the CYP, the single tooth sensor in the distributor.

You don't need either sensor to run... all you need is the TDC sensor to start and either MAP or TPS to drive around in limp home mode.

Double check for moisture under dist cap or down in plug wells, thermostat ground, and test with a known good distributor.

That would be the z6 distributor right? I just find it weird it wont start now with those two code's.
Thanks for the advice i'll check it out tommorw.

coolant temp sensor being bad could tell the ecu that its -40* coolant temp, dumping an asston of fuel and flooding it out. Just a guess.

Yeah, it'll dump an asston of fuel, but you'd still run. 450cc on a stock ECU do, for example.

Crazy thing, I started it up today and it started and ran just fine. No code's no miss. I think my ecu touched the metal part of the kick panel and caused it to do this. The ecu dosent have either cover on it. Yea stupid i know but i dont have them and cant find any.
