Should I keep my D16z6?

Hey,
I just purchased a Honda 94 Ex, 4d with the D16z6. I have a fair amount of money that I've saved, and I need to drive the car daily. I'm fairly good with engines and hope to do most of the labor myself. My question is if I should swap a larger B series engine, perhaps a B18B? or should I spend the money on better turbo? Sorry if this seems over-asked, but its hard to get a straight awnser sometimes. Thanks

Turbo d16z can make 200 whp pretty easy. I would stay w/ the d if it's in good condition

Dont want to start a flame war between B's vs D's,
but dollar per power ratio is ALWAYS in the SOHC D's favor if you know what you are doing... plus it makes it easy and cheap to fix when you break something(which WILL happen)

also makes it very easy to have back up motors/items without breaking your budget.

Thanks guys, the engine does have 158 miles on it. What OEM parts should I replace first with respects to engine life, exluding preformance,(intake, headers, exhaust). By the way is a 3" exhaust too much for a 4 cycle turbo? Thanks again

Compression test the motor. If it has weak compression already boost will end the life of that motor very fast. I'm a huge fan of low mileage jdm motors. You should be able to get a sohc vtec jdm motor in the 450-700 range depending on your location
