Default Send me everything you have...!

Hey guys... first off I want to say hi... new to the site. Some of you may know me from SuperHONDA as civic_x_95...

...anyways, its getting time to start getting my car on the road, been in the body shop for quite some time getting some damage fixed, Mugen lip kit, and new paint, but shes gona be back soon so I need to start getting things ready motor-wise...

Going with Ls/Vtec turbo... I have been reading everything on the site here that I can as well as other places, but any info you guys have that I should know send it to me. From what to do, what to not do, things to look for when buying parts, opinions, past experiences... anything you think I should know/consider. Not new by any means to hondas and tuning but fairly new to turbo.

What am I looking for? Eventually this will be a full build, but for this summer most likely just be running on stock internals untill fall when it gets garaged and I can tear into it more. After that I'm going for 400-500+whp street driven. Yeah I know... I'm talking big bucks, not something I'm too worried about. But I want to do this right so thats why I'm here.

Thanks for any info its greatly appreciated.

Well, read around. I don't think any one person is going to be able to answer everything you need.

For instance, when you build this turbo kit for the stock engine, do you want to use the exact same parts on your 500whp+ build? Start planning ahead for stuff. And welcome to the site.

I'd buld your kit to make the power you eventually want or alteast close and maybe upgrade the turbo later but the more you put in now the less you will have to change later, save you some cash in the long run...oh don't buy anything that says SSAC or XS power, your friends are garrett and Tial I don't know about LS/Vtecs but stock LS can get you to 300hp no problem

Even stock LS/vtec's are still limited to the 300hp mark just due to the fact of the stock LS bottom. LS/vtec just means you can rev the **** out of it if you have a very large turbo.

I wasn't sure if the LS vetec would be les because of a higher compression ratio LS's can make decent power over 300hp with good tunes, A friend of mine made over 400, i think like 450+ with a built LS on race gas and tuned by Jeff Evans and for some reason didn't us arp head bolts and the only reason they stopped is becaause the head was lifting
