So on my way home from a rained out custom night (a car gathering once a month) my wife gets water pouring on her feet...while shes in the pass side of the car. :l I parked my car outside last night, not under the car port, and I walked outside this morning to find this:

Dam Well, I knew what my day was going to consist of today.... :3

When I did my cage, I ripped a bunch of crap out from under my dash. I took out and opened up a hole in my firewall, I thought that was the problem. Nope. I decided I would open up under my vent panel between the hood and the windsheild.
:'(

Humm....well, that sucks. Water was running down the roof area and draining right into the heater/blower and right onto the floorboard.

Problem at hand. How can I patch that. :headscratch:
I got to looking around, trying to figure out how I can patch that.
PERFECT!!!

I go looking for my JB weld, and I was all out. (first time for everything) So Chris and I head out to find some JB weld. Go to the gas station...low and behold, they are fresh out. Hit up the exchange (base shopping center) and damit...they are out as well. So we grabbed this 'automotive goop'...which is more of a glue, not like a JB weld. damit. ahh well...lets give it a try.

coin, ready to be the best 10y i ever spent.

covers the hole perfectly.

I ended up using 2 coins, so this really cost me 20y in materials, plus the $2.50 in goop. shits starting to add up... :X

So we put one on the bottom, and one on the top.

once that dried and I got a warm and fuzzy that it was goin to do the trick, I put it all back together. We shall see how this holds up....

Now that its all said and done, I think i should have used 1y coins. They are much lighter. :8

hit it with the garden hose. better to find out if it's leaking at home then have your wife get wet feet again.

i've never seen that on a honda before ???

old VW's (rabbits sciroccos) have that problem right in the center of the dash/cowl where the blower is.

Its okinawa for you. The island is 70 miles long and 20 miles wide, at its widest point. Salt pwns me.

Ive got about another year with the car, then it gets stripped and everything shipped to the USDM. I'm not worried about it...and im not gonna weld in a new price of metal.

I would have leak tested it, but it has the cure time...so I let it sit overnight. I will test it tonight...
