it's called open loop dick lips, and i love closed loop because i can actually achieve gas mileage

(fyi, open loop, picture a loop that is broken, because it's missing a sensor input, such as o2. Closed loop is a complete circuit beause it has all the sensors it needs. That's how i remember it)

Open loop reads all sensors and takes the input, matches it to certain criteria and then gives your fuel and timing. Closed loop skips the sensors and goes straight to the fuel/timing maps. Ichy, he's got a point with gas mileage though...open loop is better for that. As for the fpr, I'd just swap in a known good one (shouldn't cost too much for one, most honda fpr's are interchangable). Could also be the gas itself too...PA winter-grade fuel's aren't the cleanest, and alot of them now have 10-20% mtbe. I've tried regular stuff and the mtbe stuff, and the regular non-mixed does seem to produce better power results and better gas mileage.

throw on a psi gauge on your fuel rail, you know what it should be at. i still think its timing or possibly a vac issue, with no EGR my mileage drops 20-30% depending on how im driving, city or highway, is sluggish under 4 grand.

my guess is valve seals in the head, causing the plugs to get oily and soot up there for not less spark in boost with to much fuel, or your rings,
