Running on 2 to 3 cylinders

Like the title said i just got a 87 accord with mpfi and have been trying to fix it up to get it ready to boost yesterday it started to sound like it was missing a little so i went and got new plugs and wires and a cap and rotor and it ran fine. Today i get in it to go do some stuff and its running fine and then all of a sudden it starts to miss really bad all the conetions are good just got no spark to 1 and some times 2 of the cylinders.

Thanks Chris

I don´t know if you´ve checked it out already, but there is a great forum for those cars called 3geez.com

I'm a former owner of one, and I must say, getting the car to run smooth was pretty hard with all of the wires and miles of vacumm lines it had. Sure, it was super reliable, and old, and had a decent amount of miles, but compared to the newer hondas I've worked on, there entirely different.

I also had trouble with my distributer.

Are you sure you got the correct plugs and gapped them to factory specs? I know mine would like to foul plugs (even though it took very little oil), and when I used platinums in it once, it barely ran. If you're sure all of your connections are good, pull the plugs and see what they look like.

check your coil...the cheapest way is to just get an external coil and plus they put out more stronger spark anyways...your local pepboys should have a external coil and cap and ---- there

It was running great and then it just went to crap. I did notice that when i hit bumps it kind of comes in and out but i cant find a thing that is loose. Its just not getting spark to 2 of the cylinders.

normally when you hit bumps and things turn on its the wireing. look at you sprk lug wires and make sure they are all the way in the boot. second go over again with all the dizzy wiring. also take a look at your spark plugs they'll tell you alot
