Rotor during TDC

Ok, I'm putting the finishing touches in my motor biulding, but noticed that I moved the rotor, My question is where should the rotor be when the it is set at TDC? The rotor should be pointing at the 1st spark plug right? Sorry about the dum question but some much MONEY and TIME has been put in, I just want to double check on everything. You guys should of seen me torquing the bitch did it like five times and checking the oil bearing clearences, boy did that all days just to make sure ;D

Yes, the rotor has to point at the #1 cylinder contact/tower on the distributor cap.
As far as I remember, the rotor is indexed so it can only go in one way, no?

Not a dumb question when your pride and joy is involved :)

Ensure #1 is at TDC, and that the rotor is pointed to #1 on the distributor cap.
