Which Rod Bearings?
 
so i got some eagle rods for my ls/vtec. its a 1990 bottom end and i need to figure out which rod bearings to get for the new rods. i was told a #3 honda bearing is what i need. what the hell is #3? is there a part number for them? any help please.

I beleive those would be the green bearings... #3's?

I used #3's on min, but always use plastigauge for clearence..

what kind of clearances are you running on yours?

God, I would have to go look at the manual.. it was all within factory specs.. :)

Remember, plastigauge is you best friend :-)

I'm actually using Clevite 77 rod and main bearings, but I had my crank machined so that the tolerances are right on. Otherwise, make sure you use Honda bearings.

so i got the green honda rod bearings. any one know if these are the right ones to use with the eagle rods?

Did you plastigauge them or not? that will tell you if they are right or not.

haven't gotten the block back from the machine shop, but thats the next step. plastigauge the bearings and then hopefully put it together!
