replaced my motor mount...still having problems!!!

alright tranny guru's. replaced my driverside motormount tonight. i'm still having trouble with 2nd and 3rd.

2nd has a tendency to not quite go in unless at the right revs and if i'm slow in second it'll slip out.

3rd will grind going in if i shift quick.

i put a level on the valvecover and it appears that it sags low about an 1/16-1/8 of an inch. that would leave the shift pin twisted a little going in and maybe not allowing it to be lined up perfect. when i get off the gas i can hear a very slight binding in any gear like it's not totally in gear or rubbing.

i'm thinking of putting some washers beneath the driverside mount to try and raise the motor on that side, but i can't figure why it would be like that when it was fine before i installed the ex tranny and clutch.

i'm also beginning to think this tranny might be f#cked and i'm ready to go back to the dx tranny that i know works, but the ex with the aluminum flywheel and new clutch pulls so much better.

is there anything that might be fubar'd inside that i should consider replacing? i'm really getting frustrated with the whole thing. >:(

being tilted an eigth of an inch isnt going to have any effect imo...plus im sure the car itself isnt perfect. sounds more like your trans is fucked (especially since it started when you put the new trans in)

Re:replaced my motor mount...still having problems!!!

i only paid $100. although it's more of a pain in the ass to install/remove it. i guess i'll pull it and my new project will be pulling it apart and rebuilding it myself. i guess i'll go back to the dx tranny until i can rebuild it.

anyone ever rebuild an ex tranny? what do you think is f#cked in it?
